In Barcelona city, we developed several resilience projects;
- Between 2008 and 2009, in close collaboration with the city council, we put in place the 3Ss® project that consists of an expert technical assessment of the security of urban services supply of Barcelona. This assessment also evaluates the quality of the operational plans dedicated to overcome urban services contingencies that are likely to put at risk the city. It permitted to identify the weak points of the urban services network as well as the areas of improvement.
- Based on this former project, between 2009 and 2012, we also supported Barcelona city to develop its TISU project. It consisted of designing and implementing an infrastructure that integrates all urban services in order to reach City Continuity, meaning a city capable of learning from adversity, continuously improving and effectively secure with its urban services supply.
- We proposed the concept of an Integrative Centre of Urban Operations / Situation Room to Integrate all city functional information related to Urban Resilience.
- We are working on the City Protocol in collaboration with other cities, research centres, Multilateral Organizations and NGOs to develop a Protocol of Urban Resilience.
